Terms and conditions

How Bolt Exchange works.

These rules cover the server, the ticket, and anyone who sends or receives money through Bolt Exchange. Read them before you open a ticket.

Opening a ticket, pressing Agree & Continue, or sending funds means you accept this page. If you break these terms, Bolt Exchange can stop the service and keep the funds involved.

The platform

Illegal use

Do not use Bolt Exchange for scams, fraud, stolen funds, or any other illegal activity.

If a payment looks suspicious, we can hold it for as long as the review takes. That includes old trades, not only new ones.

Money that came from fraud is seized. It is not exchanged and it is not refunded.

Warning signs include odd payment patterns, chargebacks, a name that does not match the payer, and credible reports from a third party.

Trades must follow the law, including sanctions lists such as OFAC. We do not move funds for sanctioned countries, high-risk jurisdictions, or flagged people and companies. If we find that after the fact, the funds are forfeited.

Fees

The fee is fixed for the pair you picked. It is not a negotiation. The rate can change later without a separate announcement.

You see what you receive when the ticket opens. Network fees, PayPal fees, and conversion fees outside Bolt Exchange are yours to cover.

If the amount has to change, ask the exchanger to run the change inside the ticket and accept it there. Do not edit the deal in DMs.

A chargeback, a payment reversal, or locking the sending account forfeits the funds tied to that trade.

Deals made in direct messages are not Bolt Exchange trades. They do not qualify for a refund or for support.

Risk you accept

Crypto and payment accounts can be frozen, limited, hacked, or closed. That can happen on your side or on ours. Bolt Exchange is not liable for it.

Our receiving accounts may be new or lightly used. Sending to them is your decision.

Our side of the job ends when the outgoing payment is sent and confirmed. Problems after that are outside this service.

Refunds are not a right. An owner may approve one. If that happens, it can take up to nine months.

We do not promise that an exchanger is online or that a ticket is answered in a set time. Keep the ticket ID. Support without it is refused.

Do not DM an exchanger. If you do, the service can be refused.

Who decides

Owner decisions are final.

Owners can set aside a term when that protects a client or the service.

Admins follow the owner. They are not required to apply a written term in a way that conflicts with an owner instruction.

If you are the client

  1. 1

Accept the terms in the ticket

Accept the terms shown by the exchanger and this page before the trade moves.

  2. 2

Do not hold an exchanger past 30 minutes

If you are not ready to pay within 30 minutes, the exchanger can leave and the ticket can be closed.

  3. 3

Do not pay after the ticket is closed

Once the ticket is closed or the exchanger is removed, any later payment is your own risk.

  4. 4

Open a ticket only when you can pay

A third-party deal starts when the person paying is actually ready. Do not open a ticket to “hold a spot”.

  5. 5

Do not share payment details early

On a third-party deal, wait until the payer confirms they will pay before the receiving details go out. If the exchanger is removed after you already paid, that money can be lost.

  6. 6

Breaking the terms can void a refund

If you break these terms or the exchanger terms, a refund can be refused except in a narrow case the owner approves.

  7. 7

    Confirm when the funds arrive

Confirm inside the ticket within 1 hour of receiving. If you stay silent, the trade is marked confirmed.

  8. 8

Rejoin within 24 hours if the server drops

If Discord removes the server, come back to the replacement within 24 hours. After that we may not be able to reopen the old ticket.

  9. 9

Server rules apply with the exchanger rules

Accepting one set is not enough. Both this page and the exchanger policies apply.

  10. 10

    Only approved middlemen

Exchangers may not pull in a random middleman. The only middlemen allowed are ones the staff already trust, including known ScammerAlert middlemen. That is there to block impersonators.

  11. 11

The exchanger can stop and refund

If the trade cannot be finished cleanly, the exchanger may refund you and close it.

  12. 12

Follow the bot, not a side instruction

If an exchanger tells you to ignore the Bolt Exchange bot, do not. The bot steps are the trade. A side instruction is not.

What this means in practice

Hard limits

Normal trades are not refunded. An owner refund, if it happens, can take up to nine months.

Ignore the bot and the protection stops. Fraud or a suspicious payment can be seized immediately.

What protects you

An exchanger locks collateral before claiming your ticket, so the payout is backed by funds already held.

The bot tells you the amount, the destination, and when to confirm. Stay on those steps.

Middlemen outside the approved list are not part of the service.
